Mr. Rocky Mikelett Barnes, Sr., 49, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Born August 15, 1964, a native of Colleton County, South Carolina, he was a son of Samuel M. Barnes, Sr. and Patricia Evans Paxton. He served faithfully in the United States Army where he was a Ranger, Sniper, and also was an Air Borne Ranger and Instructor. He loved his country and serving his fellow man was his greatest passion in life. He served faithfully for 17 years until being wounded during combat. A loving husband, father, and friend, Rocky was always willing to help anyone he could. He started the group known as Vets Taking Care of Vets. He will always be remembered for his avid love of fishing and hunting. |
