Sidney Agent

Ranger Sidney Paul Agent Jr. was born 17 April 1967 in Bakersfield, Ca. He graduated from Hawthorne High School located in Hawthorne, California and joined the Army in 1987.

Ranger Agent's Army career started at Fort Riley KS and continued to the 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI. He then served in the 101st Airborne Division Pathfinder Company, Fort Campbell, KY. He served one tour in Korea and 2 tours at Camp Frank D Merrill, Dahlonega, GA as an U.S. Army Ranger Instructor. He deployed with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, in 2005 as a member of 159th Combat Aviation Brigade, Pathfinder Company. He was assigned the task, as a Team Leader on the Division's Personnel Security Detachment (PSD). During Ranger Agent's Army career he received numerous awards, but the 2 that he held closest to his heart were the Pathfinder torch and the coveted Ranger Tab.

After 21 years of dedicated service to his country, Sid Agent continued to pursue his post-military career as a motorcycle mechanic, and enrolled at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) in Phoenix, AZ. He graduated with a certificate in "Motorcycle Technology." He was employed at Frazier's Harley Davidson, Buford, Georgia, and was promoted to the position of Assistant Service Manager.

Ranger Sidney "Sid" Agent was a quiet professional, an epitome of an Airborne Ranger, a leader who stood above his peers, and a friend to those he served with. Ranger Agent was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident on September 29, 2012. He will be greatly missed.

Sid is survived by his beautiful daughter, Jadelyn Ann Agent, Davenport, Iowa.
