Message: Then I was misinformed in 1960. I could do that whole exercise but I was told that there was a timed distance swim and, although I was a fair distance swimmer, I was not very fast. So, there went that Ranger slot to another deserving soul. My bad luck and his good luck.

Message: I was shown a Ranger Instructor Coin (4 Camps) at the Thursday meetng. I went to Grey Water Ops and purchased two coins @ $20 apiece. There are some left but they only made 200 so time is important.

Message: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Ranger Instructors and Rangers everywhere. Although I was on the Long Range Patrolling Committee, I have a soft spot for the Mountaineering Committee who allowed me to be the "fall guy" on the three man party climb. So an extra loud Merry Christmas to the Mountaineers.
