Message: When I saw the message about Ranger Ross Hall, I looked to my right where his book "Mountain Ranger" stood on my work table. I read it from cover to cover when I first got it and I still like to dip into it from time to time. I met Ranger Ross Hall at the RMC on one of my infrequent visits and regret that I could not spend more time with him. Hang in there, I will soon be "walking slack' for you. RLTW

Message: Does the winter weather you are getting remind anyone of the blizzard of March 1993. I was SDNCO. Had recycles cutting through Wasega Road,Rgr. Tom was rescuing hikers by help on the TVD and had SOA guys stuck up on Cooper Gap Rd. No power, had generators slingloaded in from Ft. Benning. By the way I quit Measuring here in WV after the first 2 feet.9 straight snow days here a the County schools.

Message: Sad news

Chief Weaver will certainly be missed by all who knew him. He was the best Property Book Officer I ever served with. After Vietnam, the overall Army supply system was broken and in great turmoil. It simply did not work in my opinion. He came in in 1972 and not only fixed the supply system for the Mountain Ranger Camp, he was also able to procure many things we previously could not obtain and had to purchase out of pocket. He cared for all the Cadre, soldiers and Ranger students and kept the logistics machine operating.

RIP

Kris, then a 2nd LT., was my Classmate, Class 1-1961. He was totally anonymous in the class, even at graduation. COOL!

We had two Officer Platoons and one Enlisted Platoon. After a week at Benning, four Marine officers asked to transfer to the Enlisted platoon. They were from Force Recon. They stood in ranks w/ us, the EM, on graduation day. Jim RLTW/L&P
