Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Willard Langdon Message: For those of you who served at the camp between 1965 and 1976, remember MSG Kenny Davenport from Ohio. His wife, Joyce, suddenly passed away yesterday while being admitted to the hospital. Kenny and his wife were a very close military family. Some of our Ranger friends that we socialized with at that time were Ron Rice, Andy Howard, Doug Perry, Earl Singletary, Bob McMahan, T Boggs & many others. I spoke with Kenny briefly last night & he is devastated; he has lost his soulmate. Please remember Kenny, his two boys and their families as they say goodbye to Joyce. As Rangers, our wives serve too. Thank you. |

Scholarships were awarded and everyone had a great time catching up with long time friends. Thanks to all who made it happen. Make plans for next year when we will do it all again. Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Joe Mattison Message: Thanks Bill. I'm going to try both. I want one as a collectors item. Best of luck to you and your Memorial project! They (the advisors) deserve it. It's about 35 years late I think, but better late then never. This memorial will cause future generations to do the research on it I think. |
