Message: Just logged on and saw that Ranger Bob McMahon has passed on. I've got fond memories of my time at MRC and Bobby. Both Kenny Davenport and I have told and retold the tale of the L-20, parachute operation with Bobby as DZSO. HIGH WINDS! It seems so easy to laugh about those times and wonder how we survived. Rest in Peace Brother Bob.

Hello everyone. Sad news to report. Ranger Bob McMahan passed away this afternoon at Bell Minor Nursing Home in Gainesville, GA after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. I saw him just after his passing & stayed with him until he was taken to Memorial Park Funeral Home on Memorial Park Road. Bob and I had been friends since 1965. He was known as one of the most knowledgeable & respected Mountaineering Instructors that most of us have ever served with.

Just to mention a few of us: Doug Perry, T Boggs, Earl Singletary, LTC Cunningham, LTC Kirby, LTC Suchke, LTC Schuetze & many others.

Arrangements are pending at this time. Willard
