I want to take this opportunity to thank Ranger Chuck Reilly for his very generous contribution to the USMRA.
Chuck is a graduate of Ranger School back in the 1970's and I had the honor of serving with him in Vietnam when we were both in L Company 75th Infantry Rangers of the 101st Airborne Division. Thank you. Rangers Lead the Way!

Between June 1st and 6th, several of our members had the honor of supporting the Blind Veterans Assoc. and Blind Endeavors on a 74 mile hike of the Appalachian Trail culminating in a rappel down the 60ft cliff at Camp Merrill. The 74 miles was a recognition of the 74th anniversary of the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944. The event was the result of a year of planning and preparation by Joe Amerling, Mike Ramsey and many others. The group of 8 American and British blind hikers is already talking about next year's event. Check out he websites above and look for blind veteran's activities in your area. Get involved: it will change you life.
Details and photos can be viewed on the Blind AT Facebook page.
I will be bringing a guest to Thursday night's meeting - my sister-in-law, Rae Keohane. We are on our way to "spoil" our three grandnieces & two grandnephews in Atlanta and Rae wants to see Dahlonega & the Ranger Mountain Camp. Those who know me well realize my problem with names so please say your name when I introduce Rae.
