Historical Fund

The USMRA Historical Committee is continuing a process envisioned by Rangers Bryan Hall Jackson and Jack Daniel to place monuments at three Ranger training facilities. The first was erected at Arnold AFB where the 2nd & 5th Ranger Battalions of WWII were trained. The second was erected at Pine Valley near Dahlonega, the first site for the Mountain Ranger Camp.

LTC(Ret) J.D. Kirby and others have taken the reins to see the completion of the third monument that will be placed at Camp Frank D. Merrill. The monument was completed and is featured on our home page. We appreciate the support given that allowed the erection of all three monuments.
